Resilia Pharmaceuticals has announced the relaunch of Solace® cream to treat the signs and symptoms of eczema. The product, which is now available over the counter (OTC), had previously received approval from the Food and Drug Administration under the brand name PruMyx for prescription use.

Solace cream is intended to help control eczema flares and keep eczema in remission up to 48% longer, based on clinical study data. The product is formulated with skin based lipids (eg, cholesterol, fatty acids, ceramides) and a natural endogenous fatty acid, palmitamide MEA, which promotes the healing process and relieves itching associated with eczema.

Solace cream is steroid-free, hypoallergenic, and free of preservatives, dyes, and perfumes. According to the manufacturer, there is no difference in ingredients between the prescription and the OTC product. Solace cream is available in a 140-gram tube on Amazon.
